The Aberdare Country Club
3 hours north of Nairobi, between Mt. Kenya and Aberdare NP

Golf is a popular pastime at the country club.
They have a very cheap green maintenance system!

hoping to get some cookie crumbs.

This wagon was featured in "Out of Africa".
(I'll have to rent that one again sometime..)
evening meal-time near my cabin. There's a warthog,
some kind of deer, and a baboon (middle) in this pic.

After the conference, Fiona and I checked out to walk
to the neighboring village, where she had happened to work
20 years ago with a women's group doing organic farming.

young school kids came out to greet us with "How are you!?"
a typical house near the river.
most village families rent a single room in a building such as this.
enjoying some candy stashed in my pocket....
