Lhatse - Gyantse
Everywhere along the road there is constant construction..
Harvest season
New housing is also going up everywhere along the new highway, pseudo-Tibetan style....
Our first glimpse of the Gyantse Dzong (fort), dating from the 14th century. Appearantly the British sought protection here during their 1904 invasion of Tibet...

Modern Gyantse with its shops overflowing with Chinese goods...
